I reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time. Parents will be notified of these before paying for a new term’s tuition. Paying for tuition indicates acceptance.
• Fees must be received by bank transfer at least 24 hours prior to the first lesson each term. Invoices are sent out with 10-14 calendar days' notice. I do not hold unpaid places beyond the due date.
• Places for each academic year can be reserved in advance with a non-refundable deposit.
• Bookings are taken for entire terms only (see below for cancellation policy). Term dates are on this website and generally follow KCC term dates (not individual schools' term dates).
These sessions are booked on a pay-as-you-book basis and normal terms and conditions apply.
• All sessions cancelled or missed are chargeable in full (no reschedules, refunds, credits or transfers). For any missed lessons, I email the prepared lesson and materials over to you, so that the child can complete these at home.
• Any paid-for sessions that I have to cancel will be non-chargeable/refunded/credited.
• Tuition can be terminated with written notice by your last lesson of a term to be effective for the following term.
If your child is unwell, as for missed lessons, I will email the prepared lesson and materials over to you so that the child can complete these at home when they are well enough to do so.
• Face to face tuition is my preference and is the most effective means of tuition, Therefore, this is given whenever possible. Only in extreme cases will I provide alternative online lessons, for example heavy snow.
• Tuition sessions are 1 hour, which includes a couple of minutes verbal feedback at the end of each lesson. Children must be picked up at the agreed time.
• If a child is late to arrive, the lesson will still finish at the usual time.
• Weekly feedback lesson emails are provided for each of my tuition groups. For 1:1 children, sometimes verbal feedback is sufficient.
• I reserve the right to charge a fee for additional meetings, phone calls, reports and other paperwork requested outside of lesson time.
• In order for students to make optimal progress, I set homework each week and expect parents to support their children in completing this ready to hand in for the next lesson.
• I am available between sessions via email to answer any queries.
• Tuition will end if a student is reluctant or unwilling to participate in lessons.
• I take no personal responsibility for individual exam results but will offer my honest, professional opinion regarding likely outcomes.
• Parents are responsible for providing up-to-date contact details and information about educational, behavioural, and medical needs.
